$8,000 Federal Tax Credit for First Time Home Buyers - The United States Congress passed the final version of the new economic stimulus bill and it was signed into law by President Obama on Tuesday, February 17, 2009. The law includes a new $8,000 Tax Credit for First Time Home buyers (10% up to $8,000) for purchases closed by December 1, 2009. HUD is also announcing new options that allow the Tax Credit to be used as your downpayment!
